The most destructive kinds of narrative are those that present themselves as universal, but uphold an extreme, undefined in-group through a sadistic othering.
The biggest problem is not the exclusion of any single group, but a complete exclusion of all but us.
Affirming a universal kills this possibility and meets life's true necessity.
It's not about telling people how to be, outside of supporting ideals that teach us what to avoid.
It seems like those without money are forced to be focused on money. There's no option. But something else is going on. Those who are treated unfairly are forced to focus on ethics, while those who are well off and view life as fair from their perspective SEEM like they are less ethical...all the way up to just straight evil. Ultimately this is a generalization, but, I still think there's something to it.
The truth stands regardless of the character of the one who speaks it.
To be honest, as critical as I am of people for being anti-human, I love everybody so much for sinking on this ship with me. Admit it or not, we're all dying together.
1) Preserve Life
2) State of war (opportunism)
3) Relativism
4) Confusion
Civilization, goodness, justice, fairness all contained inside the first option. Under # 1 (Universal Humanism):
1) Survive.
2) Don't prevent another from surviving.
3) Help the less fortunate.
There should be 2 systems. One for needs and one for wants. We shouldn't have to compete for needs, and we shouldn't expect the things we want. An ideal system would definitely be a seriously regulated capitalism with an uncompromised safety net that we focus on with automation and AI. But, those with just want those without to die. In the end, they will lose.
Those who try to include all life when trying to determine justice: Should a man be executed for killing a fly? No? The fly has a short life span? The fly is small? All these rationalizations can be applied to you, by a creature that lives longer, is bigger, etc. #philosophy
The social contract between all people around the world only has one requirement: Don't kill. From there it's those who don't agree, those that agree but have some reactive justification, and those that agree and don't kill.
